How the math works
Players per round
3 courts × 4 players = 12 on court each round, so 1 sit out. Sit-outs rotate so nobody sits twice before everyone has sat once.
Even stops
Everyone has played the same number of games every 13 rounds (12 games each). Stopping on an even stop keeps the standings fair.
