How the math works
Players per round
2 courts × 4 players = 8 on court each round, so 10 sit out. Sit-outs rotate so nobody sits twice before everyone has sat once.
Even stops
Everyone has played the same number of games every 9 rounds (4 games each). Stopping on an even stop keeps the standings fair.
Time estimate
